Listening

  • Ear Training (Beginner) - Middle C through Treble C. Listen to the note and figure out which key was played.

  • Interval Training (Level 1+) - Listen and figure out which interval was played (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or octave)

  • Major VS Minor (Level 2A) -decide whether the notes played sound major or minor


Theory - Terms and Definitions

  • Note & Rests (Beginner)  Practice naming the types of notes and rests

  • Dynamics & Tempo Terms (Level 1+) - Practice defining common dynamic signs and tempo marks (Forte, Crescendo, Allegro, etc...)

  • Dynamics & Tempo Terms 2  (Level 2A+) - Same as the previous, but with a few more terms added. 

  • Music Theory Terms (Level 2A+) - Hard version. Match the term (quarter note, whole rest etc...) to the definition . 


Scales

Scale Degrees I - practice labeling the notes in a scale using Roman Numerals (1 = I, 5 = V, etc...)

Scale Degrees II - practice naming the steps in the scale (tonic = I , dominant = V, etc..)

Major Scale

  • C Major - match the correct Roman Numeral to the note in the scale (ex: I - C)
  • G Major - match the correct Roman Numeral to the note in the scale (ex: I - G)
  • F Major - match the correct Roman Numeral to the note in the scale(ex: I - F)
  • D Major - match the correct Roman Numeral to the note in the scale(ex: I - D )

G Position  (Level B+ ; Level 1A+)- RH & LH (works on tablets and smartphones)

New G Position (Level 1B +) (works on tablets and smartphones) 


Scales, Triads, and Key Signatures

Key Signature

Identify the Key Signature (Level 2+) - C, G, and D Major

Identify the Key Signature (Level 3+) - C, G, D, and F Major

Identify the Key Signature (Level 3+) - A and D minor

Triads (Chords)

C Major Triads (Level 2+)- Complete the Triad in C Major with the given root note

All Major Triads (Level 3+) - Major triads in root position, 1st and 2nd inversions

All Minor Triads (Level 3+) - Minor Triads in root position, 1st and 2nd inversions

Major VS Minor Triads (Level 3+) - Identify whether the given triad is major or minor

Chord Progressions

Major Chord Progressions - basic formula for chord progressions
